A Moment

Have you ever had one of those moments where you look at your child
and your heart just melts?  This was one of my moments.  Bath time is supposed to be a relaxing
time for you to just unwind and relax even if it's for 5 minutes.  Well since I'm a mother and showering is a luxury my relaxing time is when Danicah is in the bath and I am sitting on the toilet seat reading.
On this night I was reading Eat Pray Love. Which is a very spiritual book
(so maybe I was feeling a little extra emotional)
and Danicah was playing with her bath toys.
She looked up at me and said "Com ear mommi" that's how it sounds.
The softness of her voice and the sense of her needing me melted my heart.
I literally had to hold back the tears.
I am so grateful for her.
My little Angel!

P.S. I have my camera with me at all times...even for bath time.

  1. How precious!!!! I didn't know you had a blog. I have one too, though I haven't had 3 seconds to write in it since I started work. The past 2 weeks have been beyond nutso. I'm hoping to get more done when I get home for the summer. Three more weeks, please let me make it!!!
I know what you mean about how they just melt you at unexpected little moments. My relax time is when I'm nursing Keira. No one ask me to do anything else, so we just sit or lay there and cuddle. I get to be close to her and kiss her little forehead and love her till I burst. With Gabriel, it's harder. But the other day, he was watching the photos on the computer screensaver and he saw one of me going out dancing. He says, "Mommy... Look at you!! You're BEAUTIFUL!" Yep, melt city.
Anyways... see you at the playground when this nasty weather clears up!!!
